By hoping for Grant to be hired away, you are hoping the most promising year of Alabama basketball in years goes to complete shite. Hale would be gone, Sina would rid us from consideration, and Pollard would transfer at the very least (probably more with only 3 in-state players on the roster). You're hoping for a shite-storm.

Is AG the answer long term or is he the answer for next year's potential?

Yeah that's the whole point. This is the first year that Grant will truly have a deep team with experience. Let us see how it goes. Should be top 3 in the SEC and and an upper 8 seed in the NCAA. If he fails next year, he is fair game unless we are riddled with injuries. And if this kid Sina does commit to us , you'll witness this program make its stand in the SEC for sure. You can't throw all of that potential out just yet. As far as Minnesota goes, I don't see Grant leaving unless he's truly looking for a way out. It'd be a lateral move at best.

After what I saw of Pollard last night, I don't care if he does transfer. Very timid. Looks of panic when trying to get the ball up court. He may have given them some rest minutes but no more than that.

I agree it won't be good for the short term for Grant to go, but sometimes, you have to take a step back to go forward.

I am okay if he stays another year. I think he SHOULD have a better year with the Jr and Sr laden team, but unless this big man he's recruited is a beast, I don't think there will be much more than a one and done in the NCAA next year, at best.

I just don't see the foundation being laid that gives me a lot of hope for the future.
