Tubby had an awful conference record so that was the main reason I think.
He's a good coach, but damn I hate him. I'd get used to him if that ever happened though.

I just don't see CAG having a better conference record coaching in the B1G

I don't care for him either, but he'd be the best guy we could reasonably expect to hire IMO. Howland can do better and Pearl is still show caused. The FGCU coach is going to be a hot name now, but that will be a big gamble for whoever hires him.
