When I lived in Dallas, I lived in Dallas. I grew tired of the McKinney Ave crowd quickly.
I preferred to drink my time away in Lakewood or Greenville Ave. Adairs was the only reason I went to Deep Ellum. It got pretty hood there for a while.
Breadwinners is the truth. I also spent quite a lot of time at Snyder Plaza. Nash/Najera/Nowitzki owned a bar there called X(ten). I karaoked a few times... Some good food there, too.

Deep Ellum is actually making a big comeback here. Turning into a big hipster area but does have a new local craft brewery called Deep Ellum Brewery that is awesome. Tons of breweries popping up all over DFW, which is great.

They didn't own it, but they were part owners. Crotts owned it. His daughter and I were friends.
