I'd recommend Uncle Julios on Lemmon Ave for great Tex-Mex.
I'd hit up Adair's Saloon in Deep Ellum to see some red dirt country.
Nick and Sam's at Maple and Wolf.
Ride the train downtown and have a drink at the spinning bar atop Reunion Tower.
That's the kind of shite I always took people to do when I lived there.
ETA: If you find yourself in FW, Try and find Angelo's BBQ. It used to be the tits.
