I covered them both and they are both hilarious in their own way. Bo had a giant shlong and rarely left his room in college outside of football. Women just came and went. When he talked to the media, he always talked in 3rd person: "I have to do what's best for Bo Jackson..." I finally started talking to an imaginary Bo Jackson next to him once whenever he did it and asked the other Bo questions. He did not have a clue what I was doing, but everyone else did.

Deion, when he was with the Braves, he would come out of the locker room one day with cheap sweats on, the next day with gold chains and expensive clothing.

Luckily, I was warned the first time I went to Fulton County Stadium by an old guy who took me under his wing. What Deion would do to the cub reporters was make up these wild stories and see how far they'd run with them. Everyone would gather round him to hear his latest tall tale.

Another great thing about the old Braves' games, don't know if they still do it, but it was free beer right after the final pitch in the "depressed box". It took everything I had to file the story first.

I watched Bo in double A, and Michael Jordan as well. I'd go to BP before the unwashed masses came in and I watched Jordan struggle, whereas Bo, I'll never forget him taking a bunch of balls to the opposite field and knew he was the real deal.

I also remember one ESPN highlight. A fly ball to the outfield. You see the ball going by itself, nothing else. Bo was playing up. All of a sudden, there he is and he races it down and catches it at the track. Never seen anything like that again.

Still, I can't really pick one or the other. They were both great.
