What do y'all think his 40 time is? Or is it the medical issue?
Or nowhere to go but down?
I'd pass on Jarvis Jones if had a first round pick.

Of course you would. You're a Tech fan. Your life is full of fail.

Likewise. While I love Jarvis as a DGD, the problem with his neck will likely catch up with him. Also, I've seen some things during the season especially in the SECCG that gave me pause. One thing in particular that needs to change if he is to be successful in the NFL is his tendency to tackle high. I just don't think Jarvis is big enough and strong enough to get away with that in the pros.

I really don't think his neck should be much of an issue, he has played 2 full seasons on it (and another one on scout team) since it happened and he has had 0 trouble with it

It’s a cocktail of injuries that will keep Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones from working out at the Scouting Combine. But it’s an injury that forced him out of Southern Cal that is getting NFL teams to yank him off their draft boards.
Per a league source, Jones’ neck has prompted multiple teams to shy away from considering him, especially in round one. He left USC due to concerns over his spinal stenosis. The fact that Georgia welcomed him with open arms shows that reasonable medical minds will differ on whether to take the risk associated with a narrowed spinal canal.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's picked 13th overall

Or... smart move? If you were Jarvis, would you participate in the draft? The answer is no. It would more than likely cause his draft stock to drop... meaning less $$$.
Stupid comment #2 on the thread for you.

Stafford didn't throw in the combine. Seemed to work out pretty well for the lions.

Who cares if he doesn't want to do the combine? He's doing the pro day.

How do you calculate a player's draft value with something like this? Will teams put a $ amount on JJ's neck holding up? WTF
quote:
12:35 p.m.: Jarvis Jones is starting to fall down draft boards after teams have scoped his medicals at the combine. Jones has spinal stenosis in his neck and some teams are removing him from their boards. PFT notes that Jones’ injury has multiple teams shying away from Jones in the first round. Jones has been looked at as a Top 5 pick in the draft. Two years ago, Aldon Smith had been removed from draft boards due to character concerns — he still went No. 7 overall. That same year Da’quan Bowers was removed due to injury concerns and fell all the way to No. 51 after being briefly considered the best player in the draft.
