From even before spring practice started, certain mods were saying that Cooper was standing out amongst the early enrollees and could have an impact freshman year. That talk continued through spring practice. I think Black would've contributed, but I think anyone expecting Black to have a similar impact as Cooper is setting himself up for disappointment. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong.

I just remember Nick Saban mentioning Chris Black by name at Crimson Caravan. He only does that after a player has graduated or if a player really sticks out in his mind. Cooper was mentioned, too, but only after Black was brought up.
