This speaks ill of animals, who only behave by instinct, as created. Men/boys choose not to have a soul. But there are similarities. Know where you are, act as if you belong 'there' (even if you don't belong 'there'), have your radar up, present yourself as someone who can take care of themselves, keep yourself fit (there's a reason lions or hyenas target the sick or weak). There are other things also to limit opportunity for attack, but there is no foolproof way that I know of.

Ever since No Country for Old Men came out in the theaters people don't mess with me. Before that movie, they just saw some decrepit guy with an oxygen tank, now they don't know what to think.
