Auburn got rid of Scott Loeffler. You may want to reconsider your bet.

They had Gus Malzahn as the OC in 2011 and the offense that season wasn't much better than what it was in 2012.

Ha...you pick the only year a Gus offense did not finish in the Top 5.

2011:
338 ypg 25.7 ppg 91st

2012:
305 ypg 18.7 ppg 117th

I think you underestimated the amount of suck produced last year.... While 2011 was hardly a stellar offensive performance, we still averaged 33 more yards and better than a TD a game with Malzahn.

Take into consideration that Auburn had just lost Lee Ziemba, Ryan Pugh, Byron Isom, Mike Berry, Cam Newton, Kodi Burns, Darvin Adams, Terrell Zachery, Josh Bynes, Nick Fairley, Zac Etheridge, Mike McNeil, Craig Stevens, Zach Clayton, Antoine Carter, etc. You do not typically lose around 31 players from a National Championship team and expect to be an offensive juggernaut. Yes, I am aware that I also named defensive players. They made more stops allowing 2010's offense more chances at yards and points. 2009's offense set records for Auburn in Gus Malzahn's first season, remember.
