If you mean that if you have a back capable of doing everything required then you don't need to have a cadre of people to carry the ball, then I agree...

If that was in the context that platooning would prevent his injuries... then that's just silly.

Both his injuries would have happened to whoever was running the ball... How would having Mike Davis or Kenny Miles patrolling the sideline on crutches, instead of Lattimore, been in anyway better? If Gurley or Marshall gets their knee caught wrong during a play it will still sideline them the same as it did Marcus.
