Why in the world would we agree to a home and home with Arkansas State? That's just silly unless there's a recruiting reason I'm missing.

....... Why not try to schedule a Texas school? i dont understand.... an SEC school settling to have a home home with.... Arky State.....?

With the schedule screw ups due to the conference move making this take a lot longer than it should have, we were probably down to only a few options and likely weren't in a great negotiating position. We did the same thing with Syracuse last year because of the move, and that didn't work out real well.
It's better than paying some cupcake to come in and take a beating considering we'll potentially have to buy a coach out next year and have all this money flying out the door for improvements.
A game in Arkansas doesn't hurt since we're not playing the pigs in the bridge schedule either.
It's whatever.
