I see, doesnt change much IMO though.
and I seriously doubt many schools will play the better BCS schools all that often.
You'll instead see two crap schools, probably at least one FCS, every single year to help insure a minimum of 7 home games.

Changes a lot for the teams in the middle to bottom of the conference
A lot of fans develop apathy as the season goes on and their team piles up losses. Ten conference games is a lot for those teams (by comparison before expansion in 1992) many SEC teams only played 5-6 conference games many years.
Regarding the pods comments? Seems highly similar to what professional sports do to balance schedules while maintaining core rivalries
