Stealing a thread idea from stltoday..

Usually a crowd is triggered to come to life from a great play, or some sustained pressure.. but tonight the MU crowd came alive for no reason at all.

The team was playing horrible, they were showing no life, and making bonehead decisions. Being the unpleasant crab arse that I am, I may have started booing when Pressey attempted the deep 3 to start the half.

Yet the faithful fans did the opposite, the ones who traveled to Como on the coldest night of the year started cheering and pouring life into the arena despite cues to do the opposite.

Jumbos for whoever was at the game tonight, well done. W is on you.

That was the best the crowd has been all season.

Hope we see more of it.

Right on mogray!!! I couldn't believe my eyes either when Pressey took the 3 to open the 2nd half when we were obviously struggling from behind the line. Kudos to the fans for pumping some life in the place.

Sounds like Bowers was a real cheerleader too.

Not bad numbers for a frigid Tuesday night against a lower end team.

Didn't see any big gaps in the lower bowl. Looked pretty full on tv.

Wish I could have seen the game! Sounds like fans in attendance deserve a good part of the W.

All that and the other issues going on around the program, not bad at all.

Oh yeah, good point. Weather is nothing compared to what is going on right now. Makes the crowds performance even more honorable.

I didn't mean to sound like I was taking anything away from the weather. I'm already ready for spring. But you put it all together and it's a good showing.

No no.. I meant that, everything going on with Haith would be a much bigger deterrent than some cold weather.. I shoulda mentioned it in the op.

And yes, I'm ready for spring too. Noticing these days are getting a little bit longer and liking it.

This is the best post of the year so far. Great post Mogray!

I agree 100% with all said here. It was kind of funny watching Haith in the first half just kind of going through the motions. He acted like someone who knows he may not be around much longer, but the second half, something happened. Something clicked, players toughened up and started playing, Haith was most interesting to watch. He looked more like a fan than a coach on the sideline. This even though Haith may be in trouble, and may not be the greatest coach, he is a great person.

The fans......man. They were awsome. Like you said Mo, they came alive when they didn't have to. The boobirds could have easily shown up instead. Props to the fans. They were awsome!

My little brother, lets call him "Tom Jr.", was at the game and told me about that. He said it was one of the more exciting games he's been to.
