His blog is often good. And he writes some pretty insightful stuff. ESPN quoted his blog regularly during conference re-alignment.

Gumps really hate him though because he also wrote about bama players like Julio, Ingram and Richardson always hanging out in a former boosters suit store, wearing a different tailored suit to every game, signing memorabilia that was later auctioned off on ebay, T-rich driving and getting tickets in different $30-$40k autos each year, etc. They pretty much hate him due to his reporting of all of it.

And it was later proven the traffic citation was a fake (doctored by AU's ATPB group). Not to mention he was uploading misleading photos of malls in Birmingham selling autographed Tide memorabilia, claiming it was Albetar's booth at the University Mall in T-Town. In addition, he uploaded a photo of Albetar with an Alabama coach that left the program in 2009, claiming it was taken at the 2011 A-Day. This is why gumps hate him because real sports writers do not consistently post fabricated facts and misinformation (excluding Joe Schad of course). The only incriminating evidence he really had were photos of players and ex-players signing autographs (with no evidence of extra-benefits being given in return). Although, something shady could've potentially went down, it's hard to take a guy seriously who kept spreading lies.

He also had a great piece on the AU Hostess gate scandal and how Auburn got away with paying Cam Newton, though.
