What Jim Harbaugh did at Stanford was nothing short of incredible. He did a very good job building that team into a consistent Top 10 program. That being said, however, what he did at San Francisco was not as great. That franchise was a sleeping giant and the talent was already in place for him to succeed. All that was required was a coach that could get the job done.

Keeping Colin as starter after Smith was ready to go turned out to be a brilliant move, but one nearly everyone questioned at first. Good thing coach stuck by his guns.

As far as Saban/Harbaugh, does it matter, true or not? Joe Torre >>>> Skip Bertman, still love Skip though.
