What is this thing linking Mizzou and Miami?

Mizzou fans, are you worried about this?

Frank Haith wants to know what the NCAA has dug up on his old Miami program. Haith’s lawyer wants to know what allegations the NCAA will make. Fans of Haith’s current school — Missouri — surely want to know what their coach will be facing in terms NCAA accusations, too. The scary part is… it sounds like Haith’s attorney, Michael Buckner, is already preparing people for what could be bad news: “Whatever happens, everyone has to understand, these are just allegations. The enforcement staff has been wrong before. The university involved and the coaches themselves have to look at what the NCAA produces and conduct their own investigations. There have been times when the NCAA has made allegations against my clients and I’ve found glaring mistakes in the evidence — maybe they didn’t interview everybody they should have or reached a conclusion that wasn’t supported by the evidence It’s the job of the attorneys or whoever is representing each of the parties to do independent vetting of the evidence and bring that information forward to the NCAA so that the complete situation can be presented before the Committee on Infractions.” Does Buckner have reason to suspect Haith will be hit with serious allegations? Or is he simply preparing people for what might – or might not — be bad news? The NCAA’s investigation into Haith’s Miami program stems from a jailed ex-booster’s claim that he provided $10,000 for one of Haith’s staff to pay to prospect DeQuan Jones for his signature on a National Letter of Intent. There is still no word on when the NCAA will finally deliver a letter of allegations to Miami (and Haith) though reports over the weekend suggested the notice could arrive at any time.

Well, we know SWAG does not link the two.

There is a reason Haith straight up left Miami....

Blood Sweat and Beers - so let's clarify.
That picture you posted there, at the bowling ally, is of, from left to right, a current assistant at Mizzou by the name of Haith, the object of this thread. In the middle is the Bernie Madoff type booster for Miami, and to the right is Thug U's president, correct?
And supposedly, at this very event where the picture was taken, the guy in the middle presented a large check to Miami along with money to recruits, or something like that?
So Haith is, or appears to be at least, directly responsible for some of the heinous cheating that went-on at Thug U during his tenure there? Enough so that the NCAA might visit the dreaded "Show Just Cause" penalty upon him?

Haith is Mizzou's current head coach.
But yes you are correct. I love the way she is starring at that check.
I believe that pic was taken after Sharipo had to be physically separated from the Director of Compliance during a U vs Va Tech game (Miami lost of course, GO HOKIES) for infringing on his "ways".

Meh... We will cross that bridge when we get to it.
My bigger concern is, when is Bowers getting back in the line up.
Flip can't do it all.

Is Frank Martin still banned from coaching H.S. ball in Florida?

This. UF game would have been tough enough with Bowers. That much more difficult/unlikely without him.

You should always say Shalala when the opportunity arises. It's just a fun name to say.

This thread isn't about Frank Martin. Martin also doesn't have a letter of allegations pending against this old school that is going to involve him.

The NCAA seems really pissy about the Miami situation.
There may be cause for concern from the Haith camp. That's unfair for the Mizzou players but they have to start making the coaches pay for any transgressions or it will never stop. I'm not saying Haith is guilty of anything because I don't know a damn thing about what he specifically did or did not do or knew or did not know.

Yeah. The NCAA should be pissy about the Miami situation. But Shapiro's allegation against the basketball program seemed pretty flimsy. He alleged that he paid $10,000 to a 3rd party (not a family member or the recruit) after the recruit's LOI was already signed and that the money was subsequently returned to him.
To my knowledge, that was Shapiro's only basketball-related claim. The NCAA did uncover some improper travel payments by an assistant upon investigation. But it didnt seem like there were systemic issues that would normally follow a coach.

Never was banned, but you can keep spreading that lie all you want Manti, I mean, kilo. You've done it what now, a dozen times noob - and it's usually ignored. But let's get it out in the open, shall we?
KState owned Mizzou on the hardwood, Martin specifically. So I understand why the mere thought of him rustles your jimmies. Still, come onnnn ... are we all not tired, fed-up really, with the lying by now? Armstrong, then Te'o, now you ... let's not do it as fans. Try to rise above it and focus inward, on your problem at hand with Haith.

UF is really banged up. It is easier to name who is not injured. Boynton, Young, and Frazier II

Martin will recruit better at USCe than he did at a Miami public high school. T or F
