Mizzou must lower academic requirements and expectations to compete in the SEC or risk becoming the annual bottom dweller.

Most SEC schools thrive in college football because they have extremely low academic expectations for their student athletes. These schools can recruit thugs year in and year out who have no life goals other than reaching the NFL, and at the same time, these schools can save face in light of publicly known poor academic standards.

Hmmm Texas aTm, Florida, UGA seems to be doing well.

Did some UGA guy say they turn away kids who don't live up to UGA admission standards? UGA, like almost everyone, takes the NCAA minimum. Kids go to military school because they don't qualify, not because UGA expects them to be at the level of normal UGA students.

The only place where there is difference among the schools is how they handle the academic matters of student-athletes. If you think that standard is very high at UGA or UF or wherever, you're crazy.
