i dont see how this team doesnt max with 8 wins a year. You watch them play and they are so so so so unskilled at basketball. I mean just look at all the quirky shot forms. we dont have one guy with just a regular shot form. Releford is the only player on the team more capable than a high school player at dribbling the ball, our 7 foot centers struggle at rebounding, scoring, and moving in general (but shoot good FT's lol), our forwards are non-existent during the game..............BUT the guys do play hard.

That being said, how does this team beat anyone?

They are very herpy derpy on offense, but they play hard defensively and create turnovers. There are 3 guys on the team that can shoot it, so when they are getting good looks they can knock it down from the perimeter.

Basically it's a team capable of beating or losing to anyone in the league. There is talent at guard and nothing in the post. Guards can win games, but it's not a recipe for winning consecutive games.

As bad as the are there are several teams in the league a lot worse

there is a negative percent chance this team could ever beat Florida in their wildest dreams unless they went 14-17 on 3's or something nutty.

Play equally bad and worse teams.

Anthony Grant isn't going to last much longer. This looks like one of his worst teams at Alabama to me.

i know plenty of about basketball and they arent good. They play so damn hard is the only reason they win any games at all. Thats great, my favorite thing about grant. However skill wise Releford is the only skilled player on the team with Lacey being a DISTANT 2nd.

if releford were to be injured or something, this team quite possibly would lose out.

Your OP leads me to believe that you follow the sport of basketball quite closely.

Hmmmmmmm....

They aren't a very good team, but these statements lead me to believe you are talking out of your arse. Our post players shouldn't be playing college basketball, but our guards are all quality players.

i know...but i mean im amazed by it with their lack of fundamental skill...i know its a combo of opponent weakness and playing hard....but this team is supremely untalented.

You have no idea what you're talking about, so I'm not gonna bother having a conversation with you to explain why.

I'm not sure how much of this team you have watched, but judging by some of your comments I couldn't guess you have seen much. Cooper and Lacey both have nice shot forms with quick releases. Levi's shot form is decent outside the arc and very smooth inside of it. And Releford's shot is a little slow, but he's making them so I can't complain. We haven't really had a problem dribbling the ball except in the post. Our post players do suck, but they also suck at the line as well. Our far and away biggest problem is down low, both in talent and depth (we only have two posts).

To answer your question, we should certainly win more than eight just looking at our SEC schedule alone. We only have one game versus Mizzou/UF/UK/Ole Miss each. And play the worst SEC teams twice. Its not very hard to see us winning at least 8 games at all.
