Per Dave Matter, he has accepted an assistant position with Mike Leach. Hmmm.... so those personal reasons for leaving got cleared up quick.

Sweet, a guy I work with has a son who plays for Wazzu.

It was just a matter of time for Yost, the pirate reeled him in.

We totally need a fark job of Yost with his long, blonde hair in a pirate hat, earring and eyepatch! Oh, and a cutlass!

Something like this...

After I had read that earlier today, it really reduced the credibility about him asking out of the job. The man got shite-canned. Maybe alot of people were covering for him, but maybe he knew the boosters wanted his head and he just moved on. Wasnt asked to leave, but decided it would just be best if he was out of the way here. Who knows though.

I don't think he got fired. I think this points towards Yost wanting to get away from Pinkel and not football like it was originally thought.

Maybe he realized the ship was going down, and he was going to bail out before it hit bottom?

Or maybe he realized he was a shitty OC?

Either way, have fun in Pullman. I hold no ill will toward the man, other than his play calling the last three seasons. I'm sure he'll be a great assistant. GP, probably put him in the wrong position as an OC.
