Saban is the best college coach in my lifetime. (and i'm old enough to have watched the Bear)...Yes, Alabama had all the ingredients (tradition, fans, $$) to build a great program when Nick arrived, but Shula left the program in pretty bad shape.

Also, FSU, Miami, OU, SCal, UTx, UTn, etc.) all have the same ingredients as Bama but can't produce the same results. And yes, LSU should be included too, but Saban already proved that LSU is a HC away from the BCS Championship. Just imagine what he would have done if he stayed in Baton Rouge.

I'm convinced that 06 LSU would've gone undefeated with him instead of Miles.

'05 LSU could have made a run for it too with Saban at the helm. 2005-2007 LSU were among the most talented college football teams I have ever seen. It's incredible to me that each of those teams garnered 2 losses.
