Did anyone watch Mizzou play Bucknell?

SoCal and Kills start threads about football? Geez, can we not have some solace on our home board?
That was a damn narrow escape in COMO. Our kU "friends" were salivating at the chance to rib us back!

Bucknell is a quality program that will get in the dance. It was a good win.
Once the league starts up we'll probably forget about football until spring.

It all starts with defense. Until they can get themselves playing on the same page, it'll be kind of like this.
They show glimpses of greatness but seem to fall asleep sometimes. I've seen more blocked shots on easy layups this year than I can ever remember. They just don't seem to be playing smart on the offensive with the ball in those situations.
This was also the second game now that team fouls were really low, but for both teams. They kind of let'm play it out as long as it didn't get to rough.
I know one thing about this team. You don't want to turn the channel at half time no matter how far they are behind. Thats fure-sure.

JBrown played a ton of minutes and pretty much did nothing. He needs to get more aggressive and make a few plays for others so Phil doesnt have to do it all.

I think you'll see more teams do that. They'll focus on trying to take away the dribble penetration and give him the outside shot. His shooting isn't the best so it would make sense teams would let him fire away.
I just didn't think we had an intensity level yesterday that we need. Bucknell is solid but shouldn't have been that close down to the wire. I do hope that game does us some good moving forward. I can't wait to get Criswell back too. They said he was getting re-evaluated again after the game.

Bucknell is a good team. Missouri is a big game for them and they are going to be ready to go. They were.

And we seemed to not be pumped up for the game. We were lucky to come out of there with the W. It didn't even look like the same team that played Illinois.
Now, moving into league play, our intensity needs to be up. The SEC may not be the basketball league the Big 12 was, but a lackluster effort will get us upset if we're not careful. I don't believe road wins are easy to come by in any league, and we have to protect our home floor.
Now, first up - Alabama! Let's make this one a little different from their last trip to Columbia! M-I-Z!

This is the kind of conversation I was looking for.. Great to have Flip, but we need another reliable PG. I think we have some talented players that will only improve with more playing time.
