Not kidding. Aggieland lives and breathes football. Even during our NCAA tourney runs, the common phrase on campus was "this is great, but why can't our football team at least be decent?" Throw in the fact that our down years conincided with some of texas and oklahoma's best seasons, and most Ags were beside themselves at the state of the football program, all other sports be damned

Gotcha, read it wrong.
I thought you were saying they're rather have basketball success than football. My bad. I can understand the sentiment after reading it again.

I think that could it could be said for most schools that football is much more important than basketball.

I think we're putting the money into the program that we need to so we can sustain the recent success we've had, and hopefully go to the next level. Us losing the annual A&M game to the fake Arky rivalry that it seems they're trying to create will hurt our team.

I've got no desire to want to dislike Arky. The people that care about Arkansas in our state are the people we as a collective generally don't care about. The rivalries we may have will be artificial in respect to our real rivalry. I'd much rather play A&M every year and get the game and potential (also fake) rivalry in Texas to help recruiting.

Either way, it's always football related.
