Or, do y'all believe perhaps he sees the writing on the wall and feels the urgency to play a competitive kid, even if he's a first year starter?

Look what Johnny did as a first year QB at A&M.

I think Pinkel will frick up big time. Perhaps he'll ruin the program on purpose because we bitched about him doing things the Pinkel way - the stupid way.

And because we pressured his mistress out of the program - Yost.

Hosick wins the Heisman and MIZ wins the Cotton Bowl.

What? It's happened before.

I am as critical right now as anybody, but whats to say any of the Quarterbacks we have for next season are any better than a healthy Franklin? I mean I am crossing my fingers for Mauk to figure it out, but I am tempering my expectations of a Freshman beating out a Senior.

Thats the exception not the rule.

Franklin will most likely be the QB and the team will most likely improve on last year if healthy.

This is likely going to be the case..

Although I'm guessing the leash could be short.

And ab JFF, let's remember he did redshirt.

I have no problem with Franklin as our QB. Just call the RIGHT plays for Franklin and it should be much better.

Also to Josh Henson, we are probably going to have injuries on the OL again next year. In fact you can bet on it. Design some plays that will help the OL reserves block for Franklin and Josey !!

Yeah, in the past they have been designing plays for them 'not' to block. A simple change in philosophy should do the trick. Hopefully they get on board with this concept of designing plays with the intention of blocking.

In seriousness, the OL should be much better next year. Key transfer will be eligible and guys that missed last year will be back.

If none of our QB's are better than a healthy Franklin then our coaches really need to get fired cuz their recruiting sucks arse then.

Not a healthy Franklin fan, which means that I'm not a fan. He's not the guy to carry Mizzou to the next level.

For about 2 months. He was an early enrollee at aTm, redshirted, got it pulled in summer, I believe.

He was graduating from HS a year ago.

He enrolled Jan 2011, redshirted the 2011 season. 2012 was his RS freshman year.

Had the RS been pulled in the summer of his first year, he wouldn't have the RS tag on him still.

MoGray the Key word there was reserves. They are reserves because they are not good enough in both pass blocking and run blocking to be starters.

There were several times when we had 3 reserves start a game. If those reserves were good run blockers then they need to call or design some more running plays to play to their strengths.

Who cares about a good balance of run to passing plays. 60% of the line for that game is reserves, we have to change the game plan.

I will be let down if we don't have better than him on the roster. That's pretty pitiful. For the sake of my sanity, I just won't watch. If he's the best we have, then it is what it is. I just don't want to watch more losing ball in the SEC.

Pinkel will start the best qb. In his postseason press conference he stressed that it will be an open competition. He even made references to Freshman Brad Smith beating out SR Kirk Farmer in '02.

If Franklin is the starter it will be because he earned it.

.....If, The writing is truely on the wall. An Pinkel has to produce this next season, I'm thinking another bowl appearence saves his butt, I think there will be an honest evaluation of all QB's at thier disposal as potential starters. I think it will be wide open. I also believe Franklin is the starter going into spring but I also think Mauk beats him out of the position. It's time to take the chain off and let that big dog run.

First, it won't necessarily be because Franklin is the best or earned it but because he is the best or earned it ACCORDING TO PINKEL. And, like I said, if Franklin is our best, our coaches' ability to evaluate talent at the high school level sucks arse.

While I will take Pinkel at his word that it will be an open competition, I question him in two regards. One is, is it truly open or are you pairing up one QB with the #1 WR's more than the other. Is one getting more time with the #1 Oline than the other. Is one matching up against the #1 D even though he's not playing with the #1's on O more than another. Also, I truly question Pinkel's ability to accurately determine who has won or earned the job in an open competition. Two words. Henry Josey.

So you're saying there is no chance Franklin can return to his 2011 form?
