If LSU who was 6-0 and Alabama who was 7-0 were co-champs, then why were Auburn, 6-1, and Alabama, 7-1, not co-champs?

Maybe Auburn had a bowl ban or something?

Maybe they went by highest ranked team back then? I don't know.

Do you not know math?

6-0 and 7-0 = 100% winning %

6-1 = 85.7%
7-1 = 87.5%

7-1 is a better record than 6-1.

This isn't hard.

Rule only applied if teams were unbeaten.
