I don't know if I could handle a good LSU offense.
The offense was good last year, it only got overshadowed by a great defense and great special teams. The offense shite the bed against Alabama in the MNC partly because that Alabama defense was one of the best units of all time.

You could tell the 2011 O wasn't quite the same when JJ took over as starter but it seemed clear (to me anyway) that Lee would never beat UA. I think CLM saw a rematch as a distinct possibility after 11/5/11 game so he was kind of in a tough spot. Oh well ...(sigh).

Hey Mr.Internet Toughguy,How the frick do you come to the conclusion that all LSU fans are cowards? Seems more likely a frickin' worm who calls out an entire fanbase from his puter is the real coward.

LSU scored only 180 points aginst SEC opponents. Bama and TAM scored over 300 points.
Sorry to say both Miss. schools overshadowed LSU's offense.

'last year'. He was speaking of 2011, not 2012.

It was obvious JJ couldn't complete 10 yard passes to wide open WRs in the first half, and he couldn't run the option against UA either.

That's what I mean by CLM being in a tough spot. Start Zach? In the wonderful light of 20/20 hindsight if Mett got a lot of meaningful 2nd string snaps through the season he may have been ready...but we'll never know.

10-2 seems to be the safe bet. With the exception of 2011, Miles' teams always lose at least 2 games, so I don't see next year being an exception. They have a favorable schedule (I think?), though, so I don't see them losing any more.
I'll say losses to Georgia and Bama.

Always? Well according to the 2012 UA SIG they did I guess.

10-2 and 2nd in the West again. 2 losses between UF/Bama/TAMU

A&M in BR? Maybe. JFF will be better next year most likely.

Not at all. Bama, aTm, UGA, USCe, and UF
The word brutal comes to mind.

You must have misread. I said last year, as in 2011.

I do think TAMU is most likely a win next year, but I'm not ready to predict 11-1 or concede another loss to Bama . UGA could possibly be loss #2 or we could lose one we have no business losing. Maybe we're due for another Arky or OM loss
ETA: But TCU would be the Arky I was referring to in that scenario

Nov. 30 Arkansas in Baton Rouge
I just noticed that I don't think we have any "trap" games per say. We did a great job at spacing out the big games. This is a big deal.
Example: see what happened to Bama after playing LSU this year. That was unfavorable. We don't have that at least.
eta: unless AU is GREATLY improved, which I don't think will be the case.

Who does we refer to?
I assume you don't consider Florida and Georgia a trap set by the SEC schedule makers.

@ Georgia - Win (Georgia's defense will take a hit with graduation)
@ Mississippi State - Win

@ Ole Miss - Win
vs. Furman - Win
@ Alabama - Toss Up
vs. Texas A&M - Toss Up
vs. Arkansas - Win in a close one
Anywhere from 9-3 to 12-0, although I feel that 10-2 is the most realistic outcome.
I agree with this post, although the UGA game is on the road so that makes it tougher.

I'm an LSU fan that lost a bet.
Of course not. They're not even back to back. Now if State puts up a fight, that could be a tough stretch.

DBs will likely lose both safety Eric Reid and corner Tharold Simon.
Simon has indicated he will stay. Word is Logan will probably stay.
I'd be shocked if Reid, Montgomery, and Mingo came back.
The only player I haven't heard any rumors about is Kevin Minter. Man I hope he stays. I think he's only projected as a 3rd-4th rounder right now, so another year like last year will improve his draft position. But we shall see.

True, but there were signs that the wheels were coming off the bus against Arkansas and Georgia. Tyrann bailed us out in both of those games and then we rolled. But the offense itself was struggling before Mathieu handed us points/field position.
Personally, I think our offense peaked mid-season when we crushed Florida and Auburn.
