But this schedule is a LOT MORE difficult than last year.

It really is, and we got screwed in the 2013 realignment 'bridge' schedule. We've never played Missouri and the East team we have gone the longest since we played is Vanderbilt (last played at Vandy), so we were due to play either Missouri home/away or Vanderbilt at home, yet the SEC sticks us playing at South Carolina.

For those (esp OM fans) that want to point out our schedule this year, remember that we played 11-win South Carolina and 10-win Georgia teams from the East in 2011, even tougher than OM's East opponents this year. In 2010 we played Florida/Georgia from the East. In 2009 State played the toughest schedule in the country. And State's permanent East opponent, Kentucky, went bowling every year from 2006-2010.

So we didn't deserve to get screwed by playing at South Carolina in 2013 when we should have been playing Missouri or Vandy. Our AD had apparently been assured that we would play Vandy when we scheduled Oklahoma State.

Either way, it's not THAT big of a deal. It's not like Oklahoma State or even South Carolina are unbeatable. And maybe all this will make our 2014 and 2015 schedules better.
