And thats the problem with the system. It seems human pollsters base their rankings on previous seasons success. That's a huge fail. Think about it. No conference champion will get in the NCG over a SEC champion with the same record. These 1 loss conference champions will continue to get put behind 1 loss Alabama teams.....regardless if they win their conference.

The Big 12 has been completely non-competitive with the SEC in bowl games in the BCS era. That's not a problem with the system but a problem with the Big 12.

Your not very good at this are you?
ETA: I suppose it is unheard of for a defense to get better with more experience.

All Kansas State had to do in 2012 was NOT GET BLOWN OUT BY FOUR TOUCHDOWNS BY A 7-5 BAYLOR TEAM THAT WAS 4-5 WHEN THEY PLAYED.
All Oklahoma State had to do in 2011 was NOT BLOW A 17-POINT FOURTH QUARTER LEAD TO A 6-6 IOWA STATE TEAM.
Oh, and the Big 12 has put three undeserving teams into the title game in the BCS era:
2001 Nebraska
2003 Oklahoma
2004 Oklahoma
All lost...two lost BADLY.
