I dont think they knew who they were going to hire after Chaney fell through. Pretty sure they were still searching and reaching out to people through the weekend.

Nope. But the one good thing about the internal hire is that we have room to hire another coach now. Hopefully they can find a home-run QB coach with strong SEC background and recruiting ties.

It took so long because they were working outside candidates. The job was offered to Chaney, he went to Arkansas. The job was offered to Jeff Tedford within the last few days, he turned it down probably because of location.
There were conversations with others but Pinkel ultimately decided they weren't any better than what we already have.

I would say hill stays no matter what. Guy loves mizzou throug thick and then. Heard rumors that they could be co-coordinators.
