Despite the loss, 2011 Alabama > 2009 Alabama. That Alabama team blew out a Clint Moseley-led Auburn team by a score of 42-14 and didn't let a Gus Malzahn-led offense into the endzone.

ETA: I honestly think 2012 Alabama could beat 2009 Alabama due to the fact that '12 plays better as a team and has more resiliency.
