The big difference is that 2008 Florida had elite QB play. Bama did not. 2008 Florida also beat teams by much bigger margins although 2009 Bama played a tougher schedule.

I know you hate on McElroy but he was solid...did you miss the game against basically the same UF team that year?

it wasn't exactly a daunting schedule despite what you may have heard. Look it up a lot of those teams were freaking terrible that year.
Don't get me wrong they were a bad arse team, one of my favorites of the BCS era but they weren't invincible by any means.

The biggest difference is that the '08 Florida team was just crazy explosive on offense. Percy Harvin was a man among boys.
