Had over 15 recruits in and got 2 commitments? I know this was the big weekend.

I do not believe it is because we are dealing with 18 year olds. But I would have liked to see some of those JUCO kids say "I want to be a Tiger"

I think Augusta ends up at Mizzou but yea, Im not hearing "good" things about this weekend.

Its a shame and a huge concern.

Probably 10 of them were already committed.

A huge concern?

We have almost have a full class, and are leading on Augusta.

OP, so 15 guys were in town, we only have about 5 spots, and 2 guys committed with Augusta likely to commit as well.

I'd really like to get a guy like Calloway.

Only about 5 uncommited targets were in this weekend. 2 already commited. That leaves Collins,Augusta, and Reese.

Reese' visit won't end till tomorrow.

When asked if he had commited Collins said "No, not yet". He still has a visit to Nebraska planned but his Mom isn't going with him.

Augusta still has Mizzou on top after his visit and will decide after he visits Illinois next week.

Yea, a huge concern. Unless of course you think that were recruiting on a level that will compete in the SEC.

Having Augusta and Collins leave during a December visit without a commit is a pretty big concern for me.

You're usually more level headed than this..

LIke hatinit said, only 5 were uncommitted guys, 2 committed, and now it looks like 3 with Reece. Plus Augusta is still a big possibility. Obviously he wants to go live it up this weekend at his home school, but most people think he'll end up at MU.

So it's now looking like we'll get 4/5 of those 5 uncommitted guys from this weekend.

Our class is pretty much full, it's not full of 4 or 5 star guys, but it's a damn good class.

Plus we could still be in play for Campos with a possible ISU coaching change.

I think things are going pretty well right now with recruiting, especially considering the season we just had.

How to juco transfers play into the class? If we pick some up, are they considered part of the class for recruiting purposes, or not?

I thought we were making a run at a few of them for immediate help on the lines especially.

Reese was a commited guy. Just sayin' he flipped on the trip. (Well at lest it looks like he flipped.)

He is a nice player. TE is not one of our critical needs in this class though.

WE NEED DTs. We need them is a bad way. I have hope that Collins and Augusta commit down the road but having them both leave without a commitment on a December visit is concerning. That's a rational concern at this stage. This class is "ok" for the Big 12 and a bottom class for the SEC.

I am being level headed man. Not sure why you always try to qualify your responses with nonsense like that. Just argue the points man.

No one really knows whats going on with Ramirez and Mizzou. There is alot of speculation both ways. One person says Mizzou parted ways, then someone else says it was Nick. No one but Mizzou coaches and Nick knows whats going down there.

Last I heard, and I find it hard to believe after what happened with Boyd, but info I read was that Nick and Boyd both visited K-state either last weekend or the weekend bfore last. But I find it hard to believe with all the mess surrounding Boyd right now.

You're not being level headed, sorry.

And I did argue with points.

Saying it looks like we got 3/5 visitors isn't a point? Yeah, I don't really see why we need a TE, but oh well. You're saying the weekend went bad, but we likely got 3/5 and even more likely to get 4/5 after Augusta enjoys the free party at his home school.

Injecting that Augusta is visiting his home state school next weekend isn't a point? Sure I'd love to have him locked up, but the guy is holding a Mizzou jersey in his picture. We have every reason to be optimistic about getting him, a rationally thinking person would equate the rest of the situation into their opinion.

It's standard to give your home state school the final official visit. Flipping out over not getting a commitment from him this weekend is just bizarre coming from you, you're normally more rational.

We have a solid class. Right now our class really isn't that different from teams ranked 20-25 in the recruiting rankings.. And it's very likely the final spots are filled up by guys that will sit near the top of our recruiting class.

Mogray accusing someone of not being level headed is pretty rich. Is there a poster in our fannase here you havent gone after with your passive aggressive shtick? It really is ok to have an opinion without all the personal BS you attach.

Im "flipping out" now? For fricks sake man. Seriously.

You still haven't addressed my points about the needs of this team that haven't been addressed in this class. We still don't have top DT targets committed. That's concerning, especially after this weekends visits.

So not landing these targets this weekend inst a concern. When is it all right to express concern over the lack of commits in this class on the d-line? FEB 2nd?

Bro, it's not going that bad. All they can do is try to sell, the recruits don't have to buy at the time.

Augusta has a visit to Illinois next weekend. They said a decission will come after that visit. So he was never going to commit on this trip no matter what happened.

Reese may be in the same boat. He just decommited. From what I heard liked his visit here. But Ole Stoops and OK. is leaking into the picture. So there may be a visit comming for Reese at OK. So Reese would have never commited on this trip either.

Collins Mother loved Mizzou. Like URhatinit said, she won't be taking the trip to Nebraska. So there is still a chance with him. Good chance because I don't think he holds an offer from the big N yet.

As it stands we have 2 DT's, 3 DE's, 3 OL's, 2 LB's, 2 QB's and 5 Athletes. Thats pretty balanced and not a bad class. I think with what 3 or 4 spots still open? Alot can happen yet. So there are two potential DT's we could stil pick up not to mention what may happen with Campos and Ramirez.

I understand. I'm not sure if folks don't realize just how shitty things are with or D-line moving forward.

If we get no Augusta/Collins or JuCo DT's this program is in trouble. That's all I'm really trying to say.

Collins is a Nebraska lean. Augusta is still a little unknown, although a Mizzou lean slightly.

The Juco DT's are anyone's guess at this point.

I don't know Kilo. I think people are underestimating the two we have commited right now. Ones a 310 pounder and the other is nearly 300 lbs. They both are dominent players.

I got to watch some film on Logan. He's the 310 pounder. Kid is just a brute man. I felt sorry for the OL that had to try and block him. At that size, he should be able to come in and show a presence.

I haven't seen film on Thompson. He comes in at around 295 lbs. Thats big.

These are genuine run stoppers and gap fillers. Not to mention the returing line we had. Those guys just got worn out. Maybe if we can get Augusta (I think we will) and add Collins. We got a good class comming in.

My history aside, anyone can read this thread and see you're the one that's off base.

I could be wrong in my opinion. Its a shame you couldnt have just said "i disagree, here is why" without all the baggage.

What am I off base about? That I dont think the weekend went well in our area of need or that we desperately need d-line depth and talent?
