I've seen several models that put the conference in 4 divisions of 4 teams. The only division I remember is LSU/Ole Miss/Miss St./Texas A&M.

The team would play every team in their division, played another whole division, then play a "random" team to fill out the 8 league games.

Obviously no one knows but I thought it was a plausible idea
