It also must be said that, just before Georgia's final two-minute drive, they had just over 300 yards of total offense.

With 1:30 to go in the LSU game, Alabama had 49 yards of total offense in the 2nd half. It doesn't mean shite either. One (hilariously bad) whiffed tackle and Yeldon walks in on a game winning TD. Georgia (instead of spiking the ball with 20s left and getting 3 shots at the endzone) pulled out the Les Miles book on clock management, let 10 seconds run off, and got one play. So yeah, ranking stats is incredibly overrated.

The biggest compliment I can give to the Alabama team is that they are clutch and poised at all stages of the game.. LSU had the game and choked, Georgia had the game and choked.. and Alabama didn't, even though they could have just laid down and lost.

I love how the Bama fans react like Spock on their statistical victories. "Bama's Defense is overrated??? That is just not logical Captain...? The statistics do not support that conclusion Captain."

Fact is Bama was fortunate for one missed tackle to not be in the Chick Fil A Bowl. They would not even be in the SEC Championship with the second fortunate break to watch UGA mismanage the clock and give the game away. Thats just not logical Captain...
