I think that, again, you're seeing what you want to see.
Do we want Kailo? Yes. Do we want him that "bad"? Not really. It's just that most of our class is already in place, so we're fighting hard for the few final spots we have left.
Yes, you want him bad. At least as a fanbase - your beat writers - your alumni. Can't speak for your coaches.
As impractical as it is, it seems some Ole Miss alumni see Kailo as a must have. They don't want a 4* with family roots at Ole Miss to attend MSU. Understandable to an extent. There is alot of stuff going on with his immediate family members that confirm the extent to which OM would like to have him...cards they don't play on just anyone.
On the flipside, State's fanbase is absolutely terrified at the thought of losing him...not because they think he's going to be a great college player, but because of what they "think" it signifies if he flips to Ole Miss.
The whole situation is a bunch of blown out of proportion ridiculousness. Dodson will have a superior college career - As will Ashton Shumpert(although not guaranteed to be at rb).

Maybe as a whole, but I'm not.

Well yeah, but only to give us more shite-talkin' ammunition.
KAILO GON' FLIP has taken on a life of its own.
As you said, you can't speak for the coaches.
