He will have my support for the Alabama job when the time comes. His potential would be unknown but I'm not sure anyone else outside the program can understand what it takes to run this machine.

Look for Saban to continue passing Kirby some responsibilities. He has already over the past three years slowly but steadily given Kirby more control over gameplan and in game calls (Saban still has final say, obviously).

I think Saban is grooming Kirby to take the job. I know it was a ton of money, but I don't think Saban would have blessed it like he would have Arky or Tenn. JMO based on a few conversations.
