How is a defender heading toward a ballcarrier a defenseless player? What a joke.
On what planet was Murray a ballcarrier in that play?
He threw a pick and was 10 yrds away from the play.

He was within 10 yards of the ball carrier. Moving towards him.

He's saying Murray was the defender at this point.

I'm glad Murray was OK. Dial did intend to knock the shite out of Murray. Did he intend to give Murray a concussion, I don't know? Had Dial hit a lineman in the same way, the lineman prolly wouldn't even have lost his footing. 300 lb vs 175 ib favors the 300 lb guy. Like a Mack truck hitting a Chev S-10.
Murray took a serious big boy shot, that he probably could/should have avoided or at least mitigated. Dial did bend down, maybe to try and make a helmet contact or maybe to try and avoid one. Dial is nearly a foot taller than Murray. This sometimes happens where players of differing heights collide. Also happens when a running back lowers his head.
The true cheap shot in this case would have been Dial hitting Murray at the knees...likely would have torn a ligament.
I do think the SEC over reacted earlier in the season with suspensions. The refs know which of these players are dirty and which aren't, but a penalty certainly wouldn't have been argued much by either side.
