How did you go to high school in Maryland and not know that?

They don't teach the history of the colony and state?

That is sad.

My sister and my aunt and uncle live near Baltimore. Great place to visit. Especially for a history buff like me.

I LOVE history, and I knew that about Maryland. Pretty interesting to see the differences between Virginia and Maryland because of the way that the colonies were settled and who settled them.

I am sure they taught it, although I never had a Hisory of Maryland course. I went to Catholic school so I can't say if the public schools offered one. I consider myself somewhat of a history buff as well, although my area of interest is the 20th century, especially WW2 and the Cold War. I guess you just showed I need some brushing up on my colonial American history.

I guess I should say that I understand why many people in Baltimore are ND fans. The state doesn't offer a competitive college team and there are many Catholics here. I was just always turned off by the expectation that I should be a Notre Dame fan just because I am Catholic.
