title says SEC and post says country. in 2011, I'd say LSU was the best team in the SEC (more wins in conference and fewer losses) but Bama won the BCS title game so Bama was the best team in the country.

Honestly I believe the top 6 in the SEC this year all have the capability to beat each other. I wouldn't consider any one of them an overwhelming favorite in any one game. The truth is Alabama and Georgia benefited from the luck of the draw this year. Sometimes that's how it goes.
