UGA was chartered in 1785, before the US Constitution was even ratified. Our campus was laid out over a hundred years before the invention of cars.

Sprawly as it may be, and buildings being what they are, it's all part of the tradition.

The first state chartered university in North America = UGA.

Yeah, there's some old ugly shite.

Want to tear it all down and turn Athens into Gainseville Florida?

I didn't think so.

By the way, UGA's tiny little indoor practice facility was apparently enough of an official indoor practice facility for the NCAA to cite UGA during Crowell's recruitment when they walked from Richt's office (overlooking it) to where players were set up, missing a running back, and tossed the ball to Crowell saying "we need a running back"... and they got tagged for "imitating game play" which is a no-no in recruiting...so it's a Bush league bullshite practice facility, unless it involves NCAA sanctions, then it's a real awesome full-time practice facility.. funny how that works.
