I'll agree that Bama fans are defensive about the schedule if you admit that LSU fans have an unhealthy pre-occupation with Bama's schedule? As long as LSU fans keep bitching, there will be Bama fans defending.
But that's because LSU fans actually have a reason to bitch about something. All Alabama fans have to bitch about is LSU fans bitching, see how that works?

just like LSU played UGA in the SECCG but dodged them in the regular season last year
once again, last year and before don't matter in terms of this discussion because those were on a set rotation.
before the bridge schedule, UGA and Bama were going to play in regular season. the whole SEC and BCSCG picture would be completely different if that had happened
if Bama wins, its Bama vs UF in the SECCG. If UGA wins, its LSU vs. UGA in the SECCG (of course the season would be different and injuries etc so its not really what would have happened, but you get the point).
would have been a lot more exciting for the SEC if it had stayed the same (fricking TAMU and Missou )

All very true, but it's not like the schedules changed out of the blue for no reason; we added 2 teams to the conference. Some things had to change. I'm sorry if LSU feels like it got shafted. I don't know what to tell you other than - I know this is going to sound cliche - life's not always fair.
