Anyone think the excitement of the football season spreads to basketball?

I was pretty impressed by the students at the games this year. Most games most people stayed until the end and were loud. Our SS in the sad pad has been atrocious the last few years. Any way that students get excited about this basketball team that is pretty damn good?

Being "pretty damn good" is pretty much the key. I'm tired of the damn NIT or bust.

I know I we to a lot of basketball games last year. It's normally the same few hundred of students at all the games sans MSU, UK and UF and those games were awesome. I guess there is no way to pack the SS like that for all games for some reason. I know baseball season over laps but through the middle of Feb we need to find a way to pack the SS.

I'm at every game I have the time for and I definitely think the excitement will transfer over. Our pride in our athletics is great this year

It doesn't hurt that Murphy Holloway is back and is fan favorite for the past 5 years. We have a white boy starting and leading us in scoring.Todd Abernathy senior year had some of the loudest moments in the Tad Pad including the sellout against Bama that year. The season opener against MVSU had close to a 6,000 attendance which would in some years would be more than a SEC game.Attendance so far this year has been great for who we played.Rutgers will big to see if we can get a SEC type of game crowd and atmosphere.

I hope it spreads to baseball more than basketball, but it would be pretty nice to make it to the NCAA tournament and the CWS!
