Dude is trash..money doesn't buy class but it does buy academic buildings and I was grateful for his money when he was giving it legally.

His money builds stadiums just as well as anyone else's money. Just keep him away from recruits and I'm all good

Please explain why our biggest donor in our history is trash. He paid judges to win a tobacco case. He hurt zero people, except those who choose to kill themselves with cigarettes

And the only reason he was caught was because the judge thought the bribe was way too low and was insulted.

This shite happens every day.

Ok then, he's a great guy, my bad. Lying and stealing no matter who it does or doesn't hurt is still wrong and not something I would want our school to be associated with..maybe it's just me.

But what does it show people if we support a guy like that

First off its not like our university would ever support him again publicly, but that's only because we live in a PC world full of pussies. What he did is what the majority of people with money has done. The worst thing that man did was take money from tobacco companies and put it into Oxford and OM. Oh the horror

Got some trial lawyers up in here apparently. Rationalizing his illegal activity because he gave to Ole Miss doesn't make us look good but again that's just my opinion.

Look, here's an opinion that I have, and you might think it's cold, but here goes.

I love how in this world, if you have enough money, you can have or get away with pretty much anything you want (other than obvious stuff like murdering and raping and what not). That's how it should be, you should be able to buy anything you want if you have enough money, and I am not rich by any means.

Dickie just fricked up and didn't pony up enough on his bribe, a mistake I'm sure he dearly regrets, but don't sit here and judge him when you have no idea what you would do in that situation or don't know how things work with the elite.

Ole miss isn't supporting him, he's supporting ole miss. I don't see the issue. Just quietly take his check, don't make him the UMAA donor of the week or anything.

I agree with you guys.

Take his cash flow and don't make a big deal out of it publicly.
