Will we win?

We showed no heart tonight and packed it in when the odds stacked against us.

Depending on who we play, I fear for our bowl game success. TN is our highest quality win and even they put up 31 points.

I think you overestimate the other conferences

And State faced the most hostile fans in the SEC on the road this year. OM fans on TV flipping off Mullen to his face and screaming at him as he went into the tunnel before the game started, LSU's fans and Bama's as well. This team had stage fright. The most hostile crowd they will face next year is aTm. Arkies in LR will be ambivalant when we play.

Well we beat a mediocre Sunbelt team by 4. So maybe not.

Here's my problem, it's a big deal in the NFL to bench a paid, career player.. but in college, if some of these guys aren't producing every series (dropping multiple passes, getting arm tackled) they should be pulled out for at least a series.. Hell, we used all 4 running backs in the first half of the LSU game IOT establish some resemblance of a running game.. That didn't happen Sat night. Gameplan was horrible.

Yes I am still butthurt. Lawrence, Bumphis, Jameon Lewis and N. Griffin (2 plays) wanted to win.. Nobody else gave a shite it seemed.

We did nothing this year to make anyone think we will win our bowl game.

from best I can tell we are headed to the Gator to face 1 of 2 teams Wisconsin or Northwestern

I think we have a great shot against both of them.

I think Wisconsin's run game would skull frick us.

I haven't seen enough of Northwestern, but didn't they play a pretty good game against Michigan?

Pretty sure Michigan would hang 40+ on our secondary.

Wisconsin is a good team and I think they would shred us with their run game. If we play Michigan by some off chance they will give us payback for 2010...

Basically, if we play in Birmingham, I feel confident about our ability to win our bowl game this year.

If we play in Jacksonville, not so much.

If you had asked me in July what our record would be at this point in the season, I'd probably say 6-6 or 7-5 at the absolute best. I think our weak schedule combined with the Auburn/Arkansas meltdown really propelled us into territory we were never supposed to travel, and I think the bowl selection committee knows this.

I think we'll be fine against most BIG10 teams. Big, slow, QB's that can't run. Except Mich & OSU. I wouldn't want to play NorthWestern though, they would out smart us. I'd prefer to play Wisconsin and Mich State.
