How hard is it to essentially run an all out blitz . with man coverage on any receivers who aren't going to get thrown to any way.

This just in from the newsroom Ward. Wofford ain't gonna pass at all, at all. Did you not watch the tape?

You realize we aren't the only team to have issues with the triple option, right?

If you don't play the pass then we get burned for 70 yards on one catch. Did you not watch the game? Threw two passes and both were lucky not to go for TDs.

Yes I'm completely aware of both facts. However both of you are missing out on a key one. If our DBS can't play man to man with the assistance of no or one safety. Then we suck pretty damned bad.

Love the excuses though. I'm sure LSU and Bama would've equally struggled against Wofford and its mighty offense. I'm sure both of you are aware of why a team runs that offense to begin with? PS I was watching Paul Johnson run it to perfection and winning national championships with it in the 90s. And the one wofford runs ain't even close.

Alabama played Georgia Southern last year and they gave up 21 points and a shite ton of yards, the most of any team they played. Didn't your wonderful Tigers play them last year and was down 28-27 in the 4th quarter? Yeah, thought so.

Most teams are gonna struggle against an offense that they don't see on a weekly basis especially when they aren't really giving 100%. Bottom line is we pulled away at the end winning by a comfortable margin and our now completely focused on embarrassing Clemson for the fourth year in a row.

@RedRocket

I guess you were tired from studying for your Mensa test and missed that gamecock logo under my user name. I guess your of those panty waste Cocky Talk sunshine pumpers. Not trolling just sick of the inadequate play against teams like Wofford. The only thing I agree with you on is that we didn't give it 100% thats for sure. Not a fan of teams that play up and down and that seems to be our calling card.

Yeah because the block C logo is the be all, end all of what team your a fan of. Its not like you can change it or anything.
I'm no sunshine pumper, I'm actually more realistic than you. You didn't even bother to respond to the fact that many other teams always have trouble with these smaller schools that run the triple option, including Alabama.

It is for me Red Rocket. They struggle because of lack of prep and let down game. I would not agree that all the great teams struggle every time the play a trip option. You must've missed that UGA /ga tech game last weekend.

Yeah because Georgia was resting starters against a small fcs school that happens to run the triple option. Come on dude, thats a rivalry. Georgia knows what to expect and Tech blows this year. They lost by 2 touchdowns to middle tennessee state! Wofford might be better than them. Just realize that most of the time, even the big boys have trouble with triple option teams when they aren't prepping well for it and are resting starters. It obviously worked as we beat Clemson. IDK what more you could want from this team. They had two weeks to work on triple option D and then Clemson's high flying offense. Which do you think we care more about???
And I don't know who Red Rocket is, you better learn how to quote and properly respond to the right person. I mean why did you ask yourself what handle you had on Cockytalk? As for me, I rarely post on any other boards. FGF is horrible and CT is pretty lame too.

Oh darn you got me on that one. I clicked the wrong reply button. Did that make you feel amazing to catch that? I bet you were beating your chest as you hit submit on that last one. I get the impression your one of those people that will go on and on out of the need to win at something if not anything. So I'll play along and give you the moral victory. Also I refer to you as RedRocket because you share characteristics with a canine false erection.
