Frank and the Boys with a great comeback win in OT today!

awesome play from Carrera and Page.

Just great effort, UWM couldn't miss tonight and we went 0-11 from 3.

I know this year will be rough, but its a great way to start the season.

Awesome, gonna be a long year though I'm afraid.

Didn't one of Coach Martin's highly touted recruits follow him here?

What was the attendance of the game? Last year there was hardly anyone at the games toward the end of the year. I'm hoping that with it being the first game of Frank Martin's tenure and the first game of the season there was a lot of people.

Watched the game tonight and we looked sloppy on defense. Letting too many easy drives down the lane.

This is a known fact, but Frank Martin is an intense muthafricka on the sideline.

I think his intensity is good though because we need a fire to be started under our team to get them going in the right direction.

Having Carrera out with a concussion, and then losing Jackson for most of the 1st half hurt us IMO defensively...plus all the early foul trouble might have had our players a little too timid in the paint when Rider drove the ball.

Still, I have to say that seeing such an effective, capable offense with several of our top players missing is a pleasant and refreshing change for the better from previous seasons. Last season we failed to score 80 points in a single, solitary game all season. We've failed to NOT score 80+ in all 3 games thus far. Elon Wednesday night should make it 4 for 4. Hopefully Carrera will be back for that game....

didn't know this stat, but damn. That is very telling just how bad we were last year.

I agree that our offense has looked good, but it's gotta be put into perspective about the competition we've played so far.

Regardless, the future is bright and I'm excited for our team.

This season isn't really about Ws and Ls but actually looking like we have a group of guys that know the fundamentals of basketball and build on that and in future seasons start securing more Ws.

With that said I don't expect us to get start racking up a bunch of wins this season but if we can sneak into the NIT this season I'd consider that a pretty big success.

They may be against nobodies but I'm excited about the 3-0 start.

We now have 10 wins.

We had 10 wins all last year.

We play Miss State who is the worst team in the conference. We should get our 11th win.
Not looking for anything spectacular this year but like the process.

If we can keep that number around there, we'll put ourselves in position to win a better than expected share of the games.

SEC play is about to start, does anyone think we can make the NIT this year? I'm liking the improvement shown already, but if we could make the NIT then that would be awesome

I'm way behind on this thread, but I'm really happy with the progress Martin is showing. We're still likely in for a rough year in SEC play, but man we look so different than Horn's last team. Our offense is running plays, people are hustling all over. I think Martin will build us into a consistent NCAA team in a couple-three years.
