We aren't talented enough to be conservative on offense.
We desperately needed to go up 30-20 instead of 26-20... oh well.

Yeah weren't we at first and goal before we kicked that last field goal? I don't see why we didn't just go for a TD on first down instead of the field goal. If we had went for it and lost, Vandy still would have needed to TD to win.

Yeah I said the same thing Saturday. I felt going for it would have been better than kicking a field goal. That field goal didn't really help us any in that situation.

[quote]A lot of folks are asking why on Vandy's last drive did our coaches not challenge the spot on the 4th-and-2 play. Here's how it went down. On the play, Rebel DE C.J. Johnson was injured. While trainers were attending to him, Hugh Freeze asked "did you guys get that spot right? It looked moved up a half yard to me." Head official came over: "Don't challenge it - it is being reviewed and there is plenty of time to get it right with your injured player stopping the action. Save your timeout in case you are wrong." So Hugh did. It was reviewed and the spot was upheld. Guess what? The official who spotted it and the review folks both got it wrong, according to the SEC office. Guess what? Same guy who made the spot is the same guy who called the phantom hold late in the Texas A&M game as the Rebs were driving in to score. Anyway, that is the explanation on why Hugh did not challenge. It was reviewed (badly) and he did not want to risk losing that timeout. Follow me on Twitter: LINK ]
