When they do it, it comes across as laughing at you. When Aggies do it, it comes across as inferiority complex.

If the rivalry between the two schools ended up being close in terms of wins and losses or championships - then maybe these unhealthy obsession wouldn't make you look so bad.

But given the imbalance, what they say makes Aggies look foolish and what Aggies say makes Aggies look foolish. Be proud of your school if you want - that's great. But don't define yourselves by your hated rival. Perhaps Aggies don't see it that way - but I assure you the rest of the world does.

I agree dude. There is a culture built around hating Texas. Most A&M fans 35 and younger agree, which is why there was a huge support for moving to the SEC. We want to carve out our own identity outside of Texas' shadow. It doesn't mean change will come immediately. I'll always say tsips, because that is what they are. It's a rivalry for chrissakes.

I work with some TU grads and they are just as obsessed with a&m. But they try to be cool and pretend they are above it, which makes them look like douche bags.

Texas was the team it was cool to like, ESPN/Media have been pushing the Longhorns for years. The Aggies have take have taken a big step out of their shadow this year, and I think they would destroy TU in a bowl game, which would be great to watch.
