The SEC is a much more well rounded league academically than the Big 12 so spare us the idea that your having to lower your expectations of opposing SEC schools and their fans in comparison to the Big 12. The arrogance displayed in your post is why so many people despise your state.

People despise Texas due to jealously. In Texas, we have a saying: "Never ask a man where he's from. If he is from Texas, he'll tell you. Otherwise, don't embarrass him."
