the game proved a few things. Bama hasnt played anyone worth a damn until this game. So all the talk about being way the best is false. We ate that vaunted defense up. 3rd down conversions we were right around 50% bama was maybe 10%. Bama had 2 decent drives. AJ lost any chances of a Heisman because he played a real team for first time this year. We have played 4 top 12 teams, 3 top 7 teams. AJ was 1-7 for 0 yards in 2nd half before the last drive.. I could go on and on but most Bama fans after the game knew they were not the better team and were the fortune on some bad coaching calls. I believe if we played 10 times it mayb be 6-4 LSU or 7-3 LSU. Bama secondary is crap. Made Mettenberg look like a hero

In recapping, it took Bama's defense to bring Mettenberger out of his funk.

Actually, you are wrong on this one. I'm not saying he'll win, or that he deserves to win at this point, but most everything I've seen/read in the last two days has been positive regarding his game-winning drive. It seems to have made his stock go up. Most people who have a vote in the Heisman poll know that any player can have a bad day that knocks them out of the race. The fact that AJ was able to overcome this when it mattered most, in a place like Death Valley on a Saturday night, against a team like LSU, when they couldn't have won any other way, is what makes it so impressive. It's kind of like the Mark Ingram wild-cat drive 2 years ago, when we would have lost the game as McElroy just couldn't get it done. Ingram takes the ball the whole length of the field, all by himself, with the entire defense knowing what is coming, and he couldn't be stopped. Those moments mean a lot to Heisman voters.
