Tressel would insure AU struggles.
He is not a great recruiter, had his pick of the talent in Ohio & Penn (like M Brown @ UT).
A defensive minded coach who is risk-averse. Offense was boring & at times inept.
Huge honesty issues.
Never lived or coached outside Ohio.
